Install Really Slick Screensavers on your Windows computer

You can choose to install Really Slick Screensavers using either the installer or the .zip file. They both contain the same screensavers, but some people prefer one method over the other.
Installer .zip file
1. Download ReallySlickScreensavers-0.2_installer.exe

2. Double-click on it.

1. Download ReallySlickScreensavers-0.2.zip

2. Extract the files from this .zip file using your favorite zip program.

3. The screensavers are the files that end with ".scr". Move or copy the screensaver files to the C:\Windows\System32 directory. (You may notice that this directory contains other screensavers that come with Windows.)

4. Double click oalinst.exe to install OpenAL. Skyrocket uses sound and will not work without OpenAL. The versions of OpenAL that were distributed with previous versions of Skyrocket are extremely old and will not work with Skyrocket version 4.0.

Uninstall Really Slick Screensavers

Installer .zip file
1. Go to the "Really Slick Screensavers" folder in the Start Menu.

2. Select "Uninstall."

Delete the individual screensaver (.scr) files from the C:\Windows\System32 directory.

WARNING: Be careful what you delete in this directory. Deleting anything other than screensavers can damage Windows.

Windows XP Windows Vista and Windows 7
1. Right-click on your desktop background and select Display Properties.

2. Click on the Screen Saver tab.

3. Select a screensaver from the list.

Keyboard controls

Try these keyboard commands while a saver is running.
All savers Microcosm Skyrocket
Press 's' to toggle statistics on and off. For most savers this will only show frames per second, but it will show some other statistics on some savers. Type any two-digit number between '00' and '53' to activate a specific gizmo.
f Pause/resume the fireworks' particles
g Toggle slow motion fireworks
c Pause/resume the camera movement
n New camera view
m Toggle mouse camera control
Left mouse button = accelerate
Right mouse button = decelerate
