To escape the usual talk of programming and games in this blog, here is my sailing trip journal. It’s online at the captain’s website. I was lucky enough to get a chance to go sailing on a three week voyage, which is something I have always wanted to try. I had been on a few day sails in my life but really had no idea what I was doing. The captain and other members of the crew were more than competent, so it was relatively safe.

If you are interested in sailing or wonder if you will like it, you will probably enjoy reading this journal. Be warned that it is long, but it explains in great detail what it is like to go to sea without knowing anything about sailing. It is full of exotic locations, eccentric characters, and random adventures. I even included some pictures.
